Fall Fun!

We visited Cagle Farm in Canton last weekend for their pumpkin patch and hayride.  Unfortunately, it started raining before we got to the hayride, but we had fun with the pumpkins.  Here are some pictures:

Playing with trucks in the corn :)

 Brooks loved watching the goats...

 ...and feeding the goats!

He couldn't understand why it wouldn't eat the 1 piece of food he was holding up, haha!

 "Man, these pumpkins are heavy!"

"They're all my favorite color- orange!"

"No, I will not look at the camera!"

First attempt at a family picture, he wasn't having it!

 Finally, a happy Brooks!

"Now that's a big tractor!  Okay, get me down- this is scary!"

After the pumpkin patch fun, we got to play "brooms" with our cousins!

Brooks had fun driving a car at Dave and Busters, but this was the only picture I got!
 Such a cool dude!

Brooks went to the movie theater for the first time this morning!  NCG did a free family movie, so we thought we would try it out and see how long he lasted.  He saw Despicable Me 2, and enjoyed it!  We made it all the way through the movie, although there was a lot of restlessness in the middle!

Daddy got Brooks some Cars slippers, and he loves them so much he is sleeping with them!  The two of them are two peas in a pod- eyes glued to the TV!

A Special Place...

... to lay my head;  that's what I want for my boys.  Growing up my mom always made a point to make sure each of our rooms were special.  I have great memories of painting my room with my mom to "make it my own" after it was passed down from a big sis.  I know Brooks is too young to remember making this room his own, but it's a step in the right direction.  Ramsey's new room also got a few touches to make it his own.  I can't wait until they are old enough to re-do their rooms with me!  Anyhow, I just wanted to document the changes as we go, who knows when we'll be changing again ;)

And Ramsey's Room:

Brooks is now 22 months old, so I want to document some new things with him too.  He says hello to everyone we see, especially when we are out on a walk.  While we walk he likes to label everything or ask: "What's that?"  He absolutely loves airplanes and motorcycles!  Those are the two words he says the most right now.

He loves to dance, and often moves his head to the beat in the car.  He is beginning to use 2 word phrases, is better at brushing his teeth, napping less, and the picky eating has started!

The most interesting development is that he actually asked me to go potty!  I was shocked, but gladly took him to sit on the potty.  He loved it and laughed the whole time. He has asked a few times since then to sit on the big potty and I make sure to always sit him on the potty when he asks.  I have been in no hurry to start because the pediatrician (along with the general population) has assured me that he will regress when the baby gets here.  Well then today his teacher told me that he is showing many signs of being ready to potty train, so we may have to reconsider waiting... I'm sure this will be a popular blog topic for many months to come!
