Falling for Fall

The boys are loving the fall weather (so are we) and we have had a lot going on!  This post will mostly be a picture update.

RJ loves to blow on you and give you a raspberry.

My favorite thing he does is after he poots he says, "Excuse you."

Brooks loves to make "plans." Every afternoon on the way home he tells me his plan, "play outside, watch TV, eat dinner, put on pajamas, brush teeth, read books."  Boy is he like his mama!

Brooks has already picked out his Halloween costume- Captain Jake.  We went to the store looking for Paw Patrol, be he just had to be Captain Jake.

The boys are also excited about the new baby!

Brooks is looking forward to having his friends come over next weekend and going to the pumpkin patch, and then his cousins will come for Halloween and the Ga vs. FL game the following weekend.

Mommy & Daddy are hanging in there.  We are both working hard, going to school, and handling this pregnancy- I'd love for the nausea to hit the road any day now.

Ramsey got his first haircut!  I just took a little off (after someone asked if he was a girl or boy), but it made him look so grown up.

And school pictures came in, so handsome!

Jim & Carrie's Wedding was this weekend.  The boys loved dressing up, dancing, and eating cake!

Brooks was the most precious ring bearer!  He did so great and made it all the way down the aisle with no problem!

Kids are Funny

From Ramsey's "talk" to Brooks' new "sayings" these little ones keep us laughing.  They remind us to get excited over the simple things, like breakfast for dinner, and they continue to model true love towards us everyday.  God sure has blessed us.

RJ loves to give kisses with the most adorable fish face, he copies every.single.thing his brother does, and he gives me the most precious hugs after work each day.

Brooks' loves to tell mommy and daddy to "take off your minds" when we are talking about something with anything more than a whisper voice.  Even if we are hollering to each other to grab something from upstairs, he thinks we might be disagreeing and tells us to "take off your minds."

Brooks also told me for the first time the other night about his girlfriends- there was about 4 of them, haha!  He told me "Ruby is his favorite girl, but Esther loves him."  I can't believe we are that grown up already, I don't know if I can handle this!

Brooks has also started the most creative, independent play.  I will catch him during bed time pretending he is "Doc McBrooks" with his stuffed animals.  He checks on them, gives them a diagnosis, and then fixes them.  He makes up these giant words for their diagnosis and it just warms my heart to see him experimenting with language.

What doesn't make me proud- my son used a cuss word appropriately the other day :(  Luckily, I was the only one around and could talk to him about it. We were driving home and he wanted his window down.  I had the windows locked up because his brother was asleep and the wind would wake him.  Brooks was frustrated about his window and yelled, "Damn it!"  I was sure that's not what he said.  So I asked, "What did you say?"

And he repeated, "Damn It!"  (Clearly he didn't realize this is not a nice word).  After I reflected on what could be my potty mouth rubbing off on him, I clearly let him know I would put soap in his mouth if he uses that word.

Oh and by the way (if you are still reading), our family is growing by 2 feet!! Baby #3 will join us around May 2, 2016.  We are all so excited!!

All the above pictures are from a great family photo session we had with LoveLee Imagery.  I can't wait to get some of these on canvas (even though Ramsey did not cooperate and give us his best smiles).  Next time we take family photos, they will include another little cutie!
