A Child of God

Brooks was baptized this past Saturday (June 2, 2012) in a private ceremony at our church.  It was absolutely perfect and we were very grateful that the priest (Father John) who married us was able to lead the service.

Brooks wore a gown that has been in my family for 7 generations now and has been worn by countless family members.

We appreciate all the friends and family that came to help celebrate Brooks' big day. Here are some photos to share:

Unfortunately, Brooks has been sick for the past 3 weeks!  It started with a virus from school and turned into Bronchiolitis.  He has a breathing treatment he has to use every 4 hours (which he has grown to hate).
Brooks is starting to push forward when he is on his belly, so we will be crawling before we know it (mommy needs to start baby-proofing!).  His hand-eye coordination has dramatically improved and he will be beginning real food in the next few weeks.

He just rolled over from his back to his belly for the first time minutes ago!!

We see the doctor for 6 month check-up and shots on June 15.
Peace out y'all!

Sitting at 5 months!

Brooks is doing fantastic sitting!  He began sitting a few seconds by himself last week and he continues to sit for longer and longer by himself each day.  He loves to sit in the bumbo and play (although he hated it for a while).  He also spends some time playing in his exersaucer!!  His favorite
activity is still standing!

He is now officially 5 months old!!
I can't believe it!

He has started grabbing my face... which melts my heart :)  He is also reaching for new things, lately he has been trying to grab the patterns or colors on our shirts.

Brooks is loving his feet!!! He is always grabbing his feet and pulling them towards his face- I know they'll be in his mouth soon!!  Last night he noticed my toes and couldn't stop staring at them when he was eating!

Here is Brooks with his BFF, Dayton!

Brooks is also starting to hold his bottle by himself, especially when he's really hungry!

I am going to risk the ginx in saying that Brooks is officially sleeping through the night!! During the last month we have been waking up to the alarm and the not the babe!

Here is my gift from Brooks for Mother's Day

4 months and counting!

4 months have come and gone and we can't believe how big our "little" bundle of joy has gotten!

Loving to smile!

Hi Friend!

We went to the doctor on Tuesday and he is 15.2 pounds (44%) and 25 1/4 inches long (56%).

He loves to laugh!  I tried to attach a video of him laughing, but its not working :(  Any help?

Also, Tim and I feel Brooks looks very similar to my sister, Lori.  Here is a picture of her as a baby... probably a little older (and bigger) than Brooks, but you can see the resemblance!

Only 6 more weeks of work until I get to stay home with him for 9 weeks this summer!! Can't wait :)
