Snowpocalypse 2014

Brooks had his first experience with snow this month (as did many kids in Georgia)!  We have survived the infamous "Snowpocalypse" that did our city (check that, state) in. I have to be honest though, we were so blessed that I was on maternity leave because we experienced the terrible conditions from the inside of our home: watching the developments on TV and following our friends, family, and community on Facebook.  It was quite amazing to see how everyone reached out to help each other.

Brooks first time in the snow!  We let him go on the porch in his jammies because we weren't sure how long it would stick around (little did we know it was about to paralyze the state).

Brooks got to swing and sled in the snow.  He loved sledding, we went down the golf course hill about 20 times!

And when we weren't outside, we were inside with cabin fever.  Even Ramsey is sporting his best yawn here :)

Ramsey was too little to play in the snow, so he dressed in his Christmas best and listened to "Let It Snow" over and over (just kidding)!

Then we finally got out of the house for a burger.

And some great friends came to visit.  Brooks and Dayton had a blast together.

Then it was time for Round 2 of the snow!  This time it was nicknamed "Snowmageddon."  It was anticipated for a whole week.  It started with lots of ice and not much snow we took "Cabin Fever" to a whole new level.  Here is the evidence:

And on Thursday morning we woke up to about 4 inches of snow!

This time the snow was a bit more wet, so we were able to make snowballs, snowmen, and snow angels.  I'd say Brooks is a fan, but I think he will enjoy it more when he can play with his bubba!

I'd say we made some great memories together!  I am looking forward to when the boys are older and we can really go sledding, although I am enjoying the "now."  Brooks is currently upset because his "rosty" (that's Frosty in kid language) has melted and fallen down.  I'll take his sweet cuddles and adorable sayings over sledding any day!
