Personalities are in full swing around our house. Brooks is so with it these days, he catches on to everything. His newest thing is making a deal with us. But it's not good enough to just say deal, he has to shake on it. It's really very cute. He has also become very protective of his brother. For instance, he is already worrying about which classroom his brother will be in and that he doesn't know where it is. Bless his heart, this little guy is pretty sensitive. On the other hand, he is also EXTREMELY strong willed. My best friend hit the nail on the head when she told me that although his inability to take no for an answer now is quite bothersome, it sure will come in handy when he grows up! Maybe I should encourage a sales job, haha!
Ramsey is busy trying to act like he's 3 too! His newest endeavors always involve his clothes coming off. He loves to run around naked, try to use the potty, and fights every time we try to dress him. We have had to change all his sheets the last 4 times he has gone to sleep because he takes everything off and then has an accident while he sleeps. Even when I tried buttoning a onesie on him, he figured out how to take it off his shoulders and down past his ankles! He has used the little potty successfully a few times on his own, but I'm not even going there yet- he just turned 19 months!
He has learned so much recently! He can identify his eyes, nose, mouth, head, ears, hands, feet, toes, etc. He repeats each of those words as well as using words he needs to communicate. He definitely won't talk just to talk, it's usually only with a purpose. His voice is so cute, we just love to hear him say please and thank you.
The boys accompanied me to work one day so I could get a few things done before pre-planning; and well, this is where I found RJ.
Ramsey also loved the Mickey Mouse balloon I got to bring home after our amazing pre-planning Disney kick-off!
Brooks got to have a special grandson Campout at O'ma and O'pas house with his cousins. They swam, cooked hotdogs, roasted marshmallows, and slept in a tent (in July)! I heard it was hot!
Thanks for reading and cheers to a new school year!
