Shout it out!

The news was official... we are having a baby!  Now to share our big news with family.  I wanted to wait another week, but my mind was changed when I recieved a text from Tim that said: "I want to go to the top of a mountain and shout it out!"  I just couldn't turn him down.  So we set to planning how we would tell everyone and here's how it panned out:

For our parents, we packaged a special note as though it had been through the mail and visited each house.  We told them we had found the package on their door step and waited for them to open it.  The letter said, "We just wanted to be here and see the look on your face when you found out we're expecting!"  Their reactions were priceless.  My dad let out a giant "yee-haw."  Jim's smile spread wider than the Grand Canyon as he passed the note to Sandy.  She immediately screamed and put her arms around both of us.

When I shared my secret with my mom, she hugged me for about 5 minutes straight without letting go.  She laughed and cried all at the same time!

Diana found out while laying in bed.  We bombarded their house and interrupted her evening t.v. show.  She cried (more than anyone)!  Happy tears ;)

To share the news with my sisters I had them pose for a picture.  The first picture I said, "say cheese."  I pretended like the picture messed up and tried another, this time I said, "say Tiffany's pregnant."  Each of their reactions was unforgettable.  Jen screamed, tackled me, and immediately began planning!  She went on to clap her hands in excitement for the entire day.  Lori had a puzzled look on her face until she finally spit out, "she's not kidding!"  Then her arms wrapped around me with happiness.  My loving, generous sisters started talking about a baby shower right away!

The next to share with was Uncle Tim and his family.  We told our good news during our Easter dinner prayer.  Tim added at the end of the prayer, "Thank you God for blessing us with a baby."  They were shocked!

We are not finished "shouting from the mountain tops" but we may wait a few more weeks to get louder :)

A few pictures of Jen's immediate reaction:
Note Lori's eyes saying ("Is she serious?")
And Tim and I on that happy day :) 6 weeks along!
