Who's the Boss?

Those of you that remember raising a 2 year old, will totally understanding the title: "Who's the Boss?" It seems Brooks can become confused about who the parents are in our house. His favorite way to show his disapproval with our decisions is with a giant, "STOP" (Imagine his little finger pointing at you at the same time).  This one is sure to frustrate me a few times a day, but Brooks seems to be getting comfortable with time out :)

In addition to this disapproval, our sweet little 2 year old also has road rage.  Brooks can't stand sitting in traffic, or even waiting at a traffic light.  He is always telling us to, "GO" and "Turn"  He has recently begun to copy the GPS in telling us to "turn right."

I rode between these two on the way to KY

There is a lot of sweetness in the 2 year old year too.  I want to share/ document one of my favorite stories from the past few weeks.  The boys and I went to Kentucky with Tim's parents to visit family.  The first night, Brooks flipped out of the pack n play, so mommy brought him in bed with me.  Brooks has never spent a full night in bed with us, because he thinks its play time.  Well, the same was true for this night in Kentucky.  He played and tried to keep me awake.  After an hour of trying to convince him to go to sleep I decided to pretend that I had fallen asleep.  With 1 eye slightly open so that I could see him, I watched him saying, "Wake up Mommy."  When I didn't move, he said "I love you Mommy" and bent down and kissed me on the cheek.  It was one of the sweetest moments I will never forget! I wish I could say he laid down and went to sleep after that, but it was 1:45AM before he fell asleep (then Ramsey woke up to eat- that was one tired Momma)!

We have officially lost the first item at the ballpark!  I know this will be the first in a long string of items un-recovered.  Tim is playing softball on Friday nights, and I took the boys out to watch him.  After we left the game, we realized Brooks lost his sippy cup.  Cheers to little boys, dirty knees, non-stop enery, and lost sippy cups :)

We have also recently celebrated Dayton's 2nd birthday at Catch Air:

The kids had a blast and CJ made these
adorable bright yellow t-shirts so we
could always spot the kiddos.

Maddox also turned 2 in March.  We had a great time celebrating with family.

Ramsey is officially 3 months old and is still our chill little man.  He is really good at going with the flow.

Ramsey is happy to ride around in the Baby Bjorn, he has such a sweet smile, and has started a little giggle.

RJ is also now finger sucking if his passy falls out.  And my favorite thing is his squishy, kissable cheeks.  When I am missing him at work, all I can think about is kissing his cheeks when I get home!

After our visit to Kentucky, we had some cousins come down from Kentucky to visit, our god-sons family :)

Brooks, Collin, & Elizabeth

Brooks is so in love with Elizabeth.  He followed her around all week, grabbed her by the hand to lead her places, and snuggled up with her to watch Frozen.

I've got to give a shout-out to O'ma's Daycare.  My boys are enjoying their extra time with O'ma & O'pa.  Mommy enjoys the picture messages when I am at work.  It's nice to know they are well taken care of and having fun with O'ma!  Here are few pictures from their time there:

This is Brooks when he gets home, pooped!
Brooks loves the vacuum, and I mean LOVES!  So, I got him a play vacuum and we got the cutest pictures of him copying Mama.  It's just a shame that it doesn't actually suck up dirt!

And the biggest news for our family....
Tim and I will be welcoming a NIECE in August!!

Annalea Rose Wilds will be heavily protected by her 5 boy cousins and O'PA!

Life seems like an emotional roller coaster.  Some days are the happiest and I think my heart could not hold any more joy.  Some days are the toughest and I find myself plotting ways to just make it to bed time.  That's when I can say, "God's the boss," and he has blessed us with all kinds of emotions to appreciate.
