Christmas Day Fun

Christmas Day was amazing! This season it was easy to get overwhelmed with everything that needed to be done, but I kept trying to remind myself that this year would be one of those Christmases I’d look back on with such nostalgia. And this Christmas did not disappoint! The kids couldn’t be at a more fun age, the spirit and excitement is truly alive through them!

Santa was good to everyone! Brooks got a big boy scooter, flipazoo, and bean bag. Ramsey got a scooter, basketball, and bean bag. Eden got a baby doll, stroller, and chair her size!

After Christmas morning, we went to Nana and Papa’s house for the day. The enjoyed spending time with family, opening presents, and playing games!

A few days later we enjoyed Christmas at my parents house with all the cousins!

Christmas Eve Beauties

This Christmas Eve brought on 3 church services (as it landed on a Sunday and Tim & I each went solo in the morning), cookie baking, and getting all dressed to begin celebrating our Savior’s birth. It also brought on the realization of how special this Christmas will be with the ages of our kiddos. It seemed every person with grown children wanted to remind me how special this year is for us. I took it to heart and tried to really enjoy them (despite spending church in the back with 1-3 kids that couldn’t stay quiet).

Ramsey will be 4 in a few days, Eden is 20 months, and Brooks just turned 6.

Leaving cookies & chocolate milk for the jolly old fella!

Our cousin Amy sent us this picture when she realized Santa was photo bombing the kids!

Cookie baking: they weren’t pretty, but they tasted good!

What 6 Brings...

Brooks turned 6 and is growing and changing right before our eyes! He lost his first tooth last night!  He is also a reader now! He can independently read level D books, which is where he should be at the end of Kindergarten! We are super proud of all his hard work this year (especially in writing- which he hates)!

This is Mrs. OBanion, his teacher above. And Mrs. Gamble below.

6 year old stats:
Height: 44.6 inches (34%)
Weight: 41 lbs (21%)

Brooks also has a 6 year old attitude! He likes to tell his little brother what to do, has started talking back, and has meltdowns when he doesn’t get his way 😁

Brooks got a special bike for his birthday, one that doesn’t flip over 😉

But all in all, he is a really cool kid! He has a kind heart, loves girls, and loves his teacher! He uses a mature vocabulary for his age and skips everywhere he  goes. Every teacher at school makes a point to mention how happy and exciteable he is!
